WordPress Login Logo Plugin

I had a few minutes at Starbucks before a client meeting yesterday so I decided to tackle the next plugin on my idea list. With the Login Logo plugin, you change the logo on WordPress’s login screen to an image of your choice via a simple options screen. It’s a two step process with a built-in image upload form, a text box for the image URL, and a submit button. I’ve released this plugin over at WPCandy, so head on over there to download it.

Background Image Switcher Plugin Released

This is a simple plugin that allows you to set the background image for a particular container from the WordPress control panel. This is useful for sites like photoblogs that often have a “featured” image at the top of the page. This plugin supports up to 10 separate containers.

WordPress Post Switcher Plugin

I’d like to announce my first WordPress plugin, which hasn’t really been named so call it the Post Switcher plugin for now. This plugin will create a sweet content switcher box on the homepage of your site where users can flip through recent posts by clicking on the thumbnails. It’s built from scratch…well, sort of - I used the amazing jQuery idTabs plugin to make this happen. View the demo or read more about it.

WPCustomization on the Marketplace (Third Update: Sold.)

I have decided to list WPCustomization on SitePoint. I feel that I can’t keep up with the workload that I get from this site and I need to spend more time on my studies and other web-related projects It sold for $2750 on SitePoint.com on January 14, 2008.

New service: WordPress Blog Customization

I’d like to introduce a new service: WordPress Blog Customization. It’s a totally new service - literally (uploaded an hour ago!) - that will turn your blog design into a fully-customized WordPress blog theme in 24 hours. If you don’t have the dough to get it done in 24 hours, don’t worry! There are also more affordable 48-, 72-, and 96-hour time frames available. Check it out!

Set up WordPress locally on Windows

I’ve decided to re-write for Windows users the two tutorials I have written for Mac users where you learn how to install MAMP and proceed to run WordPress blogs. When designing WordPress themes, it’s nice to be able to store them locally to test them instead of uploading files to a web server. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to set up WordPress locally on Windows and then manage multiple blogs with their own themes.

Set up WordPress locally on a Mac

When designing WordPress themes, it’s nice to be able to store them locally to test them instead of uploading files to a web server (though Transmit makes it quite easy). In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to set up WordPress locally on your Mac and then manage multiple blogs with their own themes.
